Comments:
The press was partially overhauled and serviced in our workshop and tested and stored after completion of the work. The machine is available at short notice and can be inspected in our warehouse by appointment.
The following overhaul work was carried out:
Rust removal and partial painting of the press.
Remaining hydraulic oil tank drained, oil filter and air filter replaced.
New hydraulic oil topped up.
All hydraulic hoses replaced.
Main hydraulic cylinder, two cylinders of the prepress flap and the cylinder of the press channel dismantled, disassembled, checked, cylinder tubes honed, all seal sets replaced and a final pressure test carried out.
Disassembly of the prepress flap with bearings and bearing blocks. 1st and 3rd circular arc segmet cut out and a new one welded in again.
Both bearings of the shaft of the prepress flap replaced.
Upper material deflector on the frame of the prepress flap replaced.
Press ram dismantled, checked and both front rollers replaced.
Material deflectors and wear profiles on the sides and base of the press ram cut off and new ones welded in.
Horizontal and vertical needle and tying unit dismantled, disassembled, checked, plastic sliding plates, bearings of the drill shafts and wire deflection rollers with bearings in the needle heads replaced.
Both bronze slide rails on the left and right in the frame cover to the press ram replaced.
Both wire deflection units on the left and right, with bale retaining clamps, completely renewed.

The bale loosening drum was fed with pressed paper bales from which the binding wire had previously been removed. The pressed and compact bale is broken up and loosened by the baffle plates welded into the drum parallel to the conveying direction. The helix, which is welded in with an incline to the conveying direction, transports the loosened material further to the drum outlet. Here it falls through a hopper onto a conveyor belt for further processing.

Use of the systems:
The four PZA cardboard shredders were in use in a Dutch logistics centre until 15 December 2021 to pre-shred loose, erected cardboard boxes from the returns department and then press them into bales. The cartons were fed manually onto the infeed conveyor and transported directly to the cardboard shredder by a sliding belt conveyor and shredded. The pre-shredded cardboard boxes were then transported over hundreds of metres to the baler where they were pressed.

Condition of the machine:
The feed hopper with bag opener was in use at a large recycling company, where waste in bags was tipped into the hopper with wheel loaders and the bags were opened via the bag opener and the waste was conveyed in doses for further processing. The system worked perfectly until it was dismantled and was replaced by a larger system with a higher throughput capacity. The machine is in good working condition. On request, various spare parts can be purchased for a separate, additional fee. The buyer would have to dismantle the elevation for removal, as the machine is otherwise too high.

Due to the chassis, the PET flattener can be moved into the feed chute of your baler as required, thus ensuring residual emptying, venting and pre-compaction of the fed bottles and canisters. Process of the BOREMA PET crusher:
The plastic packages are drawn in by two rotating shafts. One of the rotating shafts is pneumatically pretensioned by two air bellows and presses the PET bottles with 16 t of pressure against the second rotating shaft. In the process, the closed plastic bottle is squeezed together, caused to burst and vented. Residual liquids run out and the material falls into the baler in a precompressed state. When impurities are introduced, the pneumatically pre-tensioned shaft deflects to the side and the impurities are channeled through.
Significant advantages compared to conventional PET perforators with punching mandrels or knives:
The BOREMA process is much more efficient and less subject to wear than conventional PET perforators with punching mandrels or knives. The biggest advantage is that any foreign matter such as metal parts, stones, bottles with frozen contents and pieces of wood are passed through the pneumatically deflecting rotor shaft without stopping the operation of the system or causing any major damage. Explanation of the short period of use:
The entire line of Cross Wrap bale openers type BO 4000 was installed at a municipal waste incineration plant in 2015. The background to the installation was that in the case of a malfunction or maintenance of the incinerator, the municipal waste could continue to be received, baled, wrapped and stored until the malfunction was cleared. Then the bales should all be opened again and the waste fed into the normal incineration process.
This worst-case scenario never came to pass. The plant was set up, run in and then never used in regular operation. Only during the commissioning and running-in of the entire plant in 2015 were 674 bales opened on three days. The plant is in very good condition and ready for operation immediately. Due to reconstruction measures in the incineration plant, the installation area of the bale opener was needed. As a result, the entire line is for sale.
Short description of the wrapping process:
The pressed bales are placed on the infeed conveyor belt from the side or from behind by means of a forklift truck. For opening, the bales must run horizontally to the conveyor belt with the wire or twine binding, otherwise the bales must be turned 90° beforehand. The opening conveyor brings one bale at a time in front of the cutting unit. The grippers hold the wires or twine strapping. The front and rear rotating knives slit the bale lengthwise. Afterwards, the gripper returns to the starting position. The opened bale is now conveyed via the conveyor belt to the discharge chute and then falls onto the following conveyor system.

Condition of the press system:
The entire system is in very good condition and is regularly cleaned and maintained by the operator. The quality of the bales is exceptionally good, as you can see from the photos of the pressed bale goods. Even hard plastics such as plastic crates, PP bucket chains and PE plastic drums were pressed into dimensionally stable bales with the fourfold vertical binding. Tidiness, cleanliness and maintenance of the systems are practised in this company and not just written on the website.
