This eliminates the tedious process of manually positioning each coordinate over longer distances using hand cranks. Furthermore, it has the rare thermal stabilization and expansion compensation system. This is achieved through 2 heaters that can and must be switched on separately before starting work and to maintain high accuracy and dimensional precision. This explains the factory-set high positioning accuracy of 0.002 mm with a resolution of 0.001 mm.
What is truly unique is that the Hauser has two Heidenhain digital displays with a total of 4 glass scales with 1My resolution, including for the quill feed.
