As the product passes through the sorter, it inspects it from above while on the conveyor belt. The product is then moved to the end of the Optyx conveyor for an overhead view from below. Using proprietary image processing technology designed specifically for dates, the sorter quickly analyzes the images, comparing each item to previously defined standards as accepted or rejected. When the sorter identifies objects to separate from the main product section, it activates the ejector system, comprised of a series of air valves that reach the full width of the system. As the air is expelled, the valves identify each object to be separated and removed from the main product section.
