The Alpine AFC Flake Crusher is used to gently grind brittle and easily breakable materials in order to reduce their size. It can obtain low dust granulates thanks to its gentle crushing process controlling the maximum permissible top cut while avoiding the generation of undesired fines. It´s used for coarse milling and can reach particle sizes between 0,5 and 10 mm depending on the feed product. The AFC can be used for mixture homogenization, flakes granulation, disintegration of agglomerates, increasing bulk density and flowability of clumped materials. It´s fitted with a rotating grinding tool which can work in combination with a sieve of choice to adjust the resulting product according to specification. The sieves exchange is quite fast reducing the unit´s downtime. Suitable for different industries such as pharmaceutical, food, chemicals, etc.

The Alpine Ultraplex UPZ is a universal impact mill that can be fitted with a variety of easily interchangeable grinding tolls to achieve different results, such as pin disc, beater disc or pendulum beater. Certain grinding tools can operate together with different grinding tracks, sieves or a combination of both to achieve the desired fineness. This allows the same machine to process many different products such as fibrous roots or spices to plastics, granulated chemical or mineral products. Materials up to approx. 3 Mohs can be processed on the UPZ.
The 100 UPZ is the perfect mill for the laboratory, research and development of new materials or even small scale production. Thanks to the easy mill’s door opening, that doesn´t require disassemble of other system parts nor use of tools, grinding tools exchange or revision is very quick. The Platform
The platform has a universal adapter and contains the necessary electrical and mechanical components for all function modules. This gives you the opportunity to gradually purchase additional modules later and connect them without any problems.
The Function Modules
The modules contain all process engineering functional components for the respective picoline® variant such as classifier head, housing parts, grinding tools, motor adapters etc. and can be exchanged on the same platform at any time.
Dry grinding and classifying
Depending on the function module, 1 or 2 identical high-speed motors are used for dry grinding and classifying, except the Piconizer.
Wet grinding
The wet mill uses a slower running motor with high torque. The drive controller of the motor is located in the platform.
Mixing and particle design
The batch mixer and the high-energy mixer for particle design use the same slow-running motor with high torque. The motor drive controller is also housed in the platform.
