Pronciple of operation The laser welding machine melts the welding wire and part edges using laser heat. Once the device is started and set up, the welding gun is applied at the beginning of the future welding line. Then, when the handle trigger is pressed, the beam is produced in the source and fed via a fibre optic cable to the gun head. The beam is focused and emitted towards the welding wire which feeds (via a feeder) to the contact point. Then, when the trigger is activated, the gun must travel along the welding line according to the wire feed rate. A water-circulated cooling system ensures a constant operating temperature of the source and gun.
