This significantly simplifies the grinding and production of bevelled and chamfered edges, as well as the serial grinding of workpieces. Furthermore, it provides assistance when processing exceptionally large or small parts. The feed speed can be continuously adjusted between 3 and 15 m/min. A soft conveyor belt at the bottom and rubberized rollers on the upper pressure bar gently convey the material. An optional second, lower conveyor belt is also available. The upper pressure rollers can also be replaced with a rubber band, which is particularly helpful when grinding extremely small parts. Part of its extremely robust construction is the motor-driven oscillating sanding unit, which offers a maximum oscillation stroke of 90 mm and the possibility of motor-driven inclination of up to 45°. All common edge processing operations can be performed at the up to four sanding stations. Kündig Uniq edge sanding machine, front and rear Ingenious design – the sanding unit The heart of all our edge sanding machines is the sanding unit. It offers a range of intelligent functions and features. For example, in our machines, the sanding belt does not oscillate by tilting the belt rollers. Instead, the entire sanding unit moves up and down. The oscillation stroke, as well as the oscillation range, are easily set by pressing a button. Thanks to the flexible adjustment and the large oscillation stroke, sanding belts can be used optimally over their entire width, without laborious adjustment of the worktable height. The oscillation mechanism is driven by a separate motor. Nwjdsfig Rwspfx Af Ssl The tilting of the sanding unit is also conveniently done using a rotary switch and with the help of its own motor. The unit can be tilted between 90° and 45°. Thanks to the well-thought-out pivoting mechanism, the full oscillation is always available and simultaneous sanding on both sides is possible. The different table heights of the front and rear sanding stations also ensure that the belt is not used at the same height at the same time. Furthermore, the combination of the pivoting mechanism and the different table heights ensures that the distance between the sanding unit and the worktable remains minimal at every angle of inclination. Sanding station: "Veneer side" The front sanding station is used for the precise calibration of materials and functions like a planing machine. The feed stop is adjusted using a rotary handle to set the material removal to within a tenth of a millimeter. Importantly, the stop is not tilted.
