Maintenance and condition
The system was regularly maintained during its entire service life.
Official maintenance by the manufacturer was last performed on August 20, 2013.
After that, ongoing maintenance was carried out in-house.
Filters of the TEKA dust extraction system were renewed approximately 6 months ago.
Cutting torch head was renewed approximately 4 years ago.
Cooling water filter is changed regularly, approximately once a year.
The operating hour counter of the dust extraction system currently shows approximately 7,700 hours. Since the system was operated exclusively with the dust extraction system running, this value can be used as a good indication of the total operating time of the system.
Known defect
The system is currently not operational.
After consultation with Voortman and Mr. Sobiech from Magma Industries, the cause is likely to be in the cooling circuit of the plasma source. According to the experts, the most likely causes of the fault are:
Defective cooling water pump
Defective flow sensor
Leakage on the suction side of the cooling water system
A final fault diagnosis has not yet been carried out.
Spare parts for the installed Thermal-Dynamics plasma source are now only available to a limited extent.
The machine is therefore explicitly sold as a system requiring repair or for refurbishment.
