The infeed magazine is driven by hydraulic motors powered by an 5.5kW hydraulic unit (max 140m/min). A buffer of feedstock is alligned laying flat side by side on the chain cross feeder. The chain feeder transports parts across to the fence. The part next to the fence is detected by a light beam and the the first roller is raised to allow entry and the transport roller then pushes the workpiece under the feed rollers of the planer.
