The pre-shredded material is then fed from the shredder to a granulator via a conveyor belt. The granulator grinds the material into a directly processable regrind. The entire plant is operated automatically via a central control unit. Another advantage of the plant is the low energy requirement, the avoidance of power peaks, and the minimization of accident risks during pre-shredding.
