In this system, the squeegee blade is trimmed thinly using a very fast-rotating special knife under a water/alcohol mixture. This is necessary if the squeegee blade has not been installed perfectly flat or if the edge of the squeegee blade is damaged and no longer prints cleanly. The advantage of cutting compared to squeegee grinding is: the rubber does not get hot and melt. You always get the same, defined edge, and virtually anyone can do it.
