Founded in 1909, our company has now been contributing to the assurance and improvement of customer product quality standards for more than a century. Starting with the manufacture of simple measuring tools such as height gauges and marking devices, MORA has been a pioneer in the development of 3-coordinate measuring machines.

We operate high-precision manufacturing facilities, allowing us to produce essential components of our measuring machines in-house, thus guaranteeing uncompromising quality. MORA measuring machines are characterized by robust construction and high-precision workmanship, making them suitable for both workshop and laboratory applications.

Hardened and corrosion-resistant chromed guideways ensure long-lasting measuring accuracy. The electronic scale systems operate contact-free and are therefore wear-free. The drop protection for the Z-axis features a patented wire break safety mechanism, protecting both operator and equipment. As early as the 1980s, MORA developed its own measuring software, aiming to offer customers a comprehensive package; this led to the founding of the software subsidiary Inspect3D in 1999. In the 1990s, the primary focus shifted towards transforming column-type measuring machines into milling machines. The Studio Mill and Gantry Mill set new standards worldwide.

Looking ahead, future innovations focus on multi-sensor technology and optical measuring processes. With the Focus and Quantus series, we now offer our customers the complete range of the latest measuring technologies. In November 2009, MORA Fabrik für Messgeräte H. Freund GmbH became MORA Metrology GmbH. Production of 3-coordinate measuring and milling machines at our Aschaffenburg site continues uninterrupted. We are ready to meet the challenges of the future and look forward to supporting our customers with tailor-made measuring systems.
